My story “Advection” is up at Clarkesworld!

This story is close to my heart for a lot of reasons. A while back, I worked an event for a friend of mine. I ended up spending more time in Roseland Ballroom than I ever imagined possible for someone who doesn’t go to concerts, and the maze of dressing rooms, back halls, and fire exits was just crying out for an ambiguous-escape scene. So, it got one!

This event also had an acrobatic performance; watching the team waiting backstage and then performing was one of the things that inspired the book I’m currently working on (more about that later), so it was pretty much the most useful weekend ever, as it turns out.
