The fall convention season is upon us, and my first novel, the post-apocalyptic-steampunk-circus Mechanique, comes out next year.     I promise you, we will be less afraid.

    In the finale, two arcs came to the fore and cast long shadows on next season: Vanessa Ives, and the family that falls apart. There are a lot of things the finale didn’t quite manage - more to do than there was time for - but these two were fairly wrenching. [io9 recap]
